This week, I challenge you to reconsider your place in this earth. We are getting ready to enter a new month and I want you to prepare your mind. Say it with me, “new month, new mind.”
Proverbs 23: 7 lets us know: “for as he thinks in his heart, so is he…”
We all too often take for granted the amount of power God has entrusted to us. We think too small of ourselves and our capabilities. I’m reminding you today that there is a great BIG mighty God inside of you who wants to work through you.
We must wake up to our DOMINION.
Dominion defined is simply “sovereignty.”
To enlighten you even more, sovereignty is “supreme power”, “authority”, “jurisdiction”, “rule”, “control”…choose your word and connect with it!
What does this all mean for the believer? It means we should recognize 4 areas that we have dominion over.
1- Our thinking,
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
“Eat and drink!” he says to you,
But his heart is not with you. Proverbs 23:7
2- The enemy of this world,
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19
3- The works we do and our goals,
You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet Psalms 8:6
4- Our Christian walk,
For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
Romans 6:14
Let’s pray in agreement with Christ and one another: “Lord help us to exercise our dominion throughout the week for your glory. We will dominate our thoughts with truth through the word of God, and our works by dedicating them to the Lord. We will dominate our faith by remaining unmoved by evil and the challenges of this world. We will maximize our Christian walk by letting God have dominion over sin, over our lack of confidence, and over the absence of boldness when we will feel small.”
Be blessed dear sisters and keep dominion at the forefront of your mind all week-long!
